3 Ways to Change Your Windows 7 User Password

As a common Windows 7 user, you should not learn how to create a new user account in Windows 7 and add a strong password to it, but also master how to change the password to keep your computer more secure. Here mainly shows you how to change your Windows 7 password. Please note the original Windows 7 password is required for the following directions.

Way 1. Trough Ctrl+Alt+Del screen
1. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Change a password.
2. Type your old password, type your new password, type your new password again to confirm it, and then press ENTER

Way 2. Trough Use User Accounts
1. Open User Accounts by clicking Start button, Control Panel, Family Safety and User Accounts, User Accounts.
2. Click “change your password” under Make changes to your user account.
3. Type your old password, type your new password, type your new password again to confirm it, and then click Change password button.

Way 3. Through netplwiz
1. Click Start button, type “netplwiz” in the search box, hit Enter.
2. Select your target user account, click Reset password button.
3. Type and confirm your password.

Tips & Tricks:
1.These instructions will not work if you cannot remember the Windows 7 password.
2. If you forgot Windows 7 password, you can reset it by using another administrator account, password reset disk, or Rekeysoft Windows password recovery.
3. Please remember to create a password reset disk in advance to avoid troubles caused by a lost Windows login password.
